Editors Note. This is some of the CRAZY legal Drug Company PROPAGANDA that is still going around. About the "benefits" (HA!) of The Birth Control Pill". Dick saw red when he read this irresponsible dribble. They are even trying to justify putting 8 year old girls on The Birth control Pill.... His comment is at the bottom... This "Pro-Birth Control Pill" website won't accept his comment.

What Are Your Views Of Teenagers Being Put On The Pill? Uk Answers Preferable, But Open To All?

December 17th, 2010 admin

I work in a local secondary school and the debate came up at a recent team meeting.

The area in school where I work is to do with the ‘well being’ staff, our team had several counsellors, sexual health advisors, 2 nurses and support staff

Now I see the argument from both sides I went on the Pill at age 13, my mum was fully aware and it was just to try to regulate my periods which at the time were all over the place and very heavy and it has now come about that I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovaraian Syndrome) but thats by the by.

One of the ladies was obiously outraged at the fact there are many girls in years 8 through 11 on the pill (age range about 12 – 16) she said that the doctor acually prescribing it was like condoning underage sex, even though 3 of us tried to explain that in all cases it may not be because of sexual activity and instead for health reason like when i was put on it, but she refused to believe it.

Now as a mum i like to think i am quite understanding, if my daughter came to me like i did with my mum with regards to heavy and problem periods and said she was going on the pill, i’d be ok with it. But i also know many wouldn’t be.

We do, in school, try to discourage any child under 16 from engaging in sexual activty, but we also know that if they want to they will, no matter how much we try to prevent it, but if when they have their twice yearly sessions with us, girls do say they are on the pill they are asking in detail why and the reason they first went on it.

What are you views about girls, under the consensual age of 16, going on the contraceptive pill?

Do you agree its ok or should it be disallowed?

i agree with what youve said, i have pcos too and had very painful periods for years but i couldnt talk to my mum the way i wanted to so never went on the pill until i was 17 i didnt know much about contraception until i looked into it myself, which not many young girls would bother doing. if my daughter wanted to go on the pill id let her and be glad she felt she could come to be and be honest, itd be more scary as a parent knowing your child is sneaking around having underage sex unprotected than if they were outright honest with you and you took them to get the pill. i dont condone underage sex, but if they are doing it safely thats the important thing. if a teenager was refused the pill by her parents and still went and had sex that would result in a pregnancy just because the parents thought it would prevent her having sex by saying no. theyll still do it either way so its better to know whats going on than be kept in the dark in my opinion. i hope i am very close to my daughter especially when shes a teenager because i got myself into scary situations that were very dangerous sometimes and had noone to talk to and id hate for my daughter to be put in those situations. i understand its a personal decision for everyone but i think anyone of any age should be prescribed the pill if they want it despite what teachers say, because at the end of it all it may just cut down teen pregnancys, why any parent would prefer that to happen than provide the pill ill never understand.

I think that if people want to do something to their body, they should be able to do it. Certainly there are risks but they should have a freedom of choice and that includes the freedom to make bad choices. I am interested as to why sex in young people is regarded as something “bad” and why are schools trying to prevent it.

I’m 14 and i know people who are on the pill for both reasons and honestly i don’t see the big deal.
Be thankful that they are being protected, instead of taking the chances and maybe getting pregnant.

Well, if it’s for health, of course it’s okay, you’re not doing anything wrong. If for sex,on the other han, i think it is wrong, so i wouln’t give my daughter a pill for that

Obviously teenagers are going to have sex either way so it’s better to protect them rather than leaving them open to greater chances of getting pregnant. I definitely would prefer any daughter to wait until they’re a year or two older but I’m not going to deprive her of the pill, of security for her. People like that other school nurse confuse me. They have a very “If I can’t see it, it isn’t happening.” attitude.

Jeezus, that’s harsh. I went on the pill at – well, I was 19, but I went on it for one reason and one reason only – cramps. I used to get period cramps that were so bad it got to the point where I was going home from school every month because I couldn’t stand up. My dr finally put me on the pill for them when I collapsed at work because of the pain. My sister went on the pill at 16 for hte same problems, and to be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if my other sister ended up on it too.
This woman’s a dinosaur and evil. I suppose she’d rather see young girls screaming and contorted in pain than sitting happily at their desks?

I don’t see anything wrong with teens being put on the pill for problems with their periods. I don’t remember what age exactly I was but I was still in school when I went on the pill to ease bad period pains.
Even if kids are using them as contraception I think it would be wrong of doctors to refuse it to them. Not being allowed the pill won’t stop them having sex if that is what they are set on doing. Doctors are placed in a tricky position and they must know that the odds of talking a teen out of having sex are slim so helping prevent pregnancy is the best they can do under the circumstances.
If I found out that my underage child had sex I would be extremely upset but if I then found out that my underage child had been refused contraception and became pregnant I’d be furious.

the thing is, wether we like it or not in this day and age girls usually aged 13+ know more about sex than we think they do, and there going to have sex wether we like it or not, so i totally agree and think its a good idea that there put on it at this age, because it keeps them protected wether they chose to have sex or not.

CRAZY TOWN!!! MOST of you are CRAZY!!! Wake up to yourselves.

This is ALL legal Drug company PROPAGANDA. No chemical, artificial, drug is going to solve your problems, and artificial hormones are WORSE than any drug. Drugs wear off, hormone imbalances are usually FOREVER.

You are ALL talking ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. The legal Drug Company's have disconnected you from normal train of thought and natural reasoning.

The Birth Control Pill is THE reason the west has become "The Land of Broken Family's"...... A woman has NO need for a man, when her reproductive organs are shut down.

Lady's, do you want to become a mean, nasty, horrible spinster? Do you want to live without the love of a man in your life? Do you want to join the the chorus of Fem-Nazi's saying "ALL men are bastards"? Do you want to corner yourself into the lonely assertion that no man is good enough for you.? Do you really want to be involved in a loveless sham marriage based on financial convenience only?

Lady's these are the only choices you have once you have sterilised your body............ Lady's, you can get angry with me, but think long and hard, do you really want your daughters to have the lives that most of you have had?

All because you allowed the Legal Drug Company's to "TRICK" you into sterilising your body?

There is a NATURAL solution to everything, including responsible breeding. ALL the woe's of the last 50 years of our modern society can be traced back to The Birth Control Pill. 1st comes the broken family, then comes Dysfunctional Children, Drug Abuse, Crime.

If not for the Pill, there would be no BOOM in Prostitution and Pornography, Drug Abuse and Sex Tourism... Like what else are the men supposed to do? Become celebrant like most of the women? You women don't understand any more,

REPRODUCTION IS THE PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE SPECIES. Only eunuchs, can last months or even years without sex.... WAKE UP!!!

It's about time even the drug company's realise how irresponsible they have been. The damage they are causing society in their efforts to reduce the population explosion, and convert happy wife's and mothers into "liberated" (Ha!) working, tax paying, slaves of the system.

The damage the Legal Drug company's are causing the western world is not worth the profits they are making.

It is about time some clever sterilised women took the Legal Drug Company's to court, they make the tobacco industry look like boy scouts.

We are talking about an entire generation CHEATED out of being part of a family... MUM, DAD, CHILDREN, is a FAMILY... Not Mum and the kids, and Dad is not around because he is a bastard and a drunk, and likes to have sex.

It is not ALL Dads fault... Not Mum's fault either, it is the fault of The Birth Control Pill... Hormones are powerful substances, if they are banned in sport, how come half the western world is on them? Male hormones can put a beard on a woman and female hormones can put breasts on a man.

HORMONES CHANGE THE WAY WE THINK. It is about time all of this weird unnatural sterilised sexless thinking from women who take The Birth Control Pill came to an end.

For the sake of the Earth, otherwise the world is DOOMED. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Dick
