White Widow, the 1995 Cannabis Cup winner is considered by many to be one of the finest strains on Earth today. With a potent 20% THC. There is even a White Widow appreciation society. This short review by Matt Mernagh at the bottom of this page is true. Others have said the same thing. Seed company's are producing "Knock offs" of the White Widow strain and they are nowhere near as good. This is dangerous because this pure and perfect strain is getting corrupted.

Below is an extract from Wiki dated the 9th June 2013, it's quite accurate, perhaps the western propaganda machine has not seen, or had time to get around to corrupting this factual article yet. As you know information on Wiki changes, and is often corrupted by the New World Order.

White Widow

"White Widow is a strain of Cannabis developed in The Netherlands by Australian seed breeder known as "Shantibaba"[1][2] from Mr. Nice and it's known for its abundance of white trichomes and high potency.[3] White Widow has been reported to leave the user with a relaxed feeling. It, like most indica marijuana varieties, is a good appetite enhancer. However, being a cross between sativa and indica (60% Indica, 40% Sativa) it also has the sativa quality of mood enhancement - bringing on an interest in activities one may not normally enjoy. The variety won the Cannabis Cup in 1995.[4][5] White Widow grown in Amsterdam is known to contain up to 20% of the active ingredient THC. White Widow buds are covered in crystals, giving it an almost snowy look. As of late as 2011, it sells for approximately 8 Euros per gram in The Netherlands.[6] In San Jose and Colorado Springs, it is available from dispensaries for Medical Marijuana patients for a donation of $8 US per gram.

White Widow is a strain that is fairly easy to grow, and especially in Europe because of its resistance to mold and colder climates."

SamonCramin's Note: "Shantibaba" set up and worked for Greenhouse Seeds when he developed this strain. Now he has started Mr Nice seeds and does not offer White Widow seeds for sale. Perhaps Greenhouse Seeds owns the true strain? But we checked Greenhouse Seeds photos of White Widow and they look like Black Widow so we don't know what the hell is going on. Seems to us the true pure strain is already gone. We know that Greenhouse Seeds is a fine company, so guys PLEASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSE take care of this strain. Or suffer the wrath of a once very appreciative Australian public.

We believe the best person to contact about finding the TRUE White Widow strain is Shantibaba himself at his site here => http://mrnice.nl/dhtml/home.php It seems due to clampdowns from the authority's the TRUE White Widow strain may be lost. Shantobaba made this strain, he's an honourable Australian and good man, so if we can push, nag, (threaten? haha) him along he can certainly make this strain again. Please Shantobaba.

"WHITE WIDOW by WeedZilla

Veg stage:
I received this plant as a clone from a friend. It clones very easy. When moved to soil it grows very fast. 6 weeks total veg for a fat 6-7 ounce yielder. This plant needs space even in veg. It grows exactly like what you would expect from a hardcore sativa.

Bloom Stage:
If you want to grow this plant give it a lot of space. It is a light and space hog. Grows like a friggin vine. Late in bloom it needs to be staked up (supported). The stems do not support the weight of the fully mature buds. It is extremely crystalized. From week 2 the trichomes are everywhere. The plant seems to lag in the later stage and I cut the light cycle to 8/16 the last week. 65-70 days in bloom is normal.

Smoke report:
Makes excellent bubble hash. The bag appeal is awesome. Nugs are dense, but not rock hard (mostly from the immense crystal coverage). The nugs are completely frosted with trichomes. Very distinct hash smell. The flavor is nice and crisp. The high is very strong to the head. After a few loads starts to seem a little harsh. slight musky undertones can be tasted as well.

Overall evaluation:
Very strong genetics. It's obvious why everyone uses the White Widow in their crosses. Trichome production is out of hand. Nugs are covered in frost. Taste is very hashy and musky. Sometimes it seems harsh from it being so hashy tasting. The high is very head inducing. White Widow is also very mold resistent and bug resistent.

real boost, open hydro system, the way GH preaches!

Flower stage:
big boost on 2.6 EC then massive flush. Lots of work, but well worth it!

Smoke report:
Loaded with frosty resin, a true blast.

Overall evaluation:
Very strong weed, the name sells itself, the resin is a real thick coat. Great for hash as well."

SamonCramin's Note: Yes indeed many Seed companys offer "Knock Offs" (Cheap copy's of this fine strain) They all want to call their seed White Widow for money reasons, because everybody wants it.

After winning the 1995 Cannabis Cup. The original PURE White Widow Seeds were smuggled into Australia. Since then the Government has clamped down on seed smuggling.

Some experts have continued growing this strain from cuttings ever since.

But the pure strain is beginning to get scarce and inferior copy's are appearing. For some the pure strain has become weaker, after many years continuing the strain from cutting's from the same original parent seed. Producers have reported that it has become difficult to grow. More susceptible to disease. Also White Widow has never had a good heat tolerance and has always been harder to grow in the northern half of Australia.

These weakened cuttings of White Widow are difficult to strike (into more cuttings), and has become a delicate temperamental plant, very susceptible to botrytis and other fungal disease and instant, sudden death syndrome.

White Widow is a very open, plant, and does not produce yields as big as some of the newer more popular indoor hydroponic strains. Therefore "growers greed" has also convinced many to "upgrade" to more bushy, healthy, disease resistant, vigorous, higher yielding plants that do not have anywhere near the SUPERIOR taste and quality as the true and uncorrupted White Widow Buds.

If Australians were given the choice to purchase White Widow buds or the more prolific strains around this country today, they would choose White Widow every time.

Some wonder if there is a conspiracy behind the disappearance of the true, original, 1995 Cannabis Cup winning White Widow strain. The anti-marijuana laws are really a law against enlightenment, and few strains assist in the quest for enlightenment as well

Australian White Widow fans can only hope and pray that decent honourable people overseas are doing their best to keep this strain pure and healthy and will one day bring this fine sacred herb seed back to Australia, the Land of Oz.

Just because many strains have now won the Cannabis Cup since White Widow won in 1995, does not mean they are better strains. Many connoisseurs of fine pot will argue that White Widow is the finest marijuana in the world today.

I’ve written several marijuana reviews of white widow over the past two years. It’s one of my favorite medical marijuana strains.

One that I’ve been toking for a good long time. Why when I was Dubs McPuffen age I was smoking White Widow in Amsterdam coffee shops. White marijuana types are awesome at managing my fibromyalgia symptoms. Unfortunately after several sessions with this one it just didn’t work wonders. My pain levels were improved, but not over the top as expected. Though I do have high expectations with white widow. I do believe this strain is perfect for fibro patients. Jean Guy too. For a long time I never believe the specific strain hype, but there’s something about these two that really work for my symptoms. The stone started out speedy then cooled down into a nice steady clear couch lock. Took a full volcano vaporizer canister and two vapor bags to really get me feeling the effects. A half hour later had me wondering where the time went. Spent the time writing the marijuana review.White Widow is a legendary cannabis champion. It’s been a show stopper since 1995.

Unfortunately this strain didn’t have the trichrome or flavor production typically associated with white widow. Given it’s been around for a good long time plenty of marijuana seed banks have created their own knock off of the original. It’s highly likely this is a knock of the spicy flavorful beautiful smelling original. The marijuana high is fairly similar, but it was missing the look and taste.
